Lokal is an independent coffee shop and café located in Kitsilano, owned by Zoran Milakovic and Sara D’Aviri.

We founded Lokal as a tribute to our European heritage, offering authentic Italian-style coffees, gourmet sandwiches and salads, fresh pastries, and, on weekends, Sara’s homemade tiramisu—a true specialty. Our café is a manifestation of our passions, featuring curated music, an inviting atmosphere, and innovative design.

Our friends, Ranko and Aleksandra, played a crucial role in shaping our cozy yet unconventional décor, incorporating custom furniture and a coffee bar crafted from an old barn roof. However, what matters most to us is our customers.
